Versatile, classically trained soprano, Judith is equally at home performing repertoire from Operetta, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lloyd Webber and Gershwin, to Mozart, Handel, Bach and Vivaldi, in addition to the art songs of Faure, Schubert and Richard Strauss and a crossover to contemporary songs.
Although originally from a dance and musical theatre performance background, Judith has more recently concentrated on extending her performance experience in Oratorio, with numerous engagements as Soprano Soloist: works including Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St. Matthew Passion and B Minor Mass (also as Assistant to the Choral Director for this), Mozart’s C Minor Mass, Requiem and Vesperae de Confessore, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, to name but a few.
Aside from this Judith has also performed at many weddings, concerts, played roles in Sondheim’s Follies and A Little Night Music, with Endellion Theatre Co. at Buxton Opera House, sung Evensong services with a chamber choir at Durham Cathedral, Southwark Cathedral and Westminster Abbey and successfully was selected for regional auditions for the Dame Kiri te Kanawa Opera Prize.
An experienced singing teacher, with a pupil base in both Independent and State sector schools as well as private practice, Judith encourages all ages and abilities to find and develop their voice. Taught individually, pupils develop a sound technical foundation and lessons are tailored bespoke to the individual’s capability and requirement.
Judith has successfully, over the years, prepared and coached pupils for ABRSM grades and mentored for GCSE/A Level recital repertoire as well as providing consultation and mentoring for audition and performance preparation.
